Sorry for your loss

Corey was a friend of my daughters, Molly and Jillian, and I’ve had the pleasure of talking with him on a number of occasions. He was remarkably bright, unusually witty, and displayed rare class. He will be missed and I am sorry for your loss. Joel Goodman

Great sorrow

It is with great sorrow that I learned of the loss of your darling Corey. I am so sorry but I have just learned about the memorial service or I would have made earlier arrangements to fly out to CO. We feel helpless to help and wish to send our love and support across all of the many miles between us. When you are feeling stronger and able to talk we are here and able to listen. Please don\'t hesitate to call. Until then we offer our love and prayers for the strength to carry on. My Mom and Teresa also send their love and prayers and please know that you are all in our thoughts. Love, Your cousin Anna Kalafut and family.

Sad and heavy heart

I am so sad. My heart is heavy with pain. Corey was one of my very favorite gifted students at Arapahoe High School. He had lunch in my office almost every day and enjoyed playing on the computers with his fellow computer friends. He was truly a genius in mathematics and won the highest award for the most accomplished math student in his senior year. He was cheerful and positive and most of the time, was the center of attention. I loved his enthusiasm and I respected his passion for learning. He was one of just a few students who took the AP Computer Science Exam after basically teaching himself everything he needed to know. He came to visit me several times after he went to college and he always had the best welcoming hug for me. I\'ll never forget his warmth, his laughter, and the joy he brought me and his peers. He will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to you all. Sincerely, Monica Lobser

So sorry...

We are so sorry...I know we now live so far apart but I was so privileged to have meet your kids & husband. They are very special. To know & love your family is just so special. You are all in our hearts and prayers. Love Sandy & Lamont Williams

Corey will be missed

It was a privilege for me to be Corey\'s fifth grade teacher. With his sweet smile, great sense of humor, and that mischievous twinkle in his eye, he never failed to charm me--even when he didn\'t have his homework done. I know you are all so proud of what he accomplished. I\'m very grateful the MOW board brought our families together so I had the chance to see Corey two or three times in the past few years. I will always remember him with great fondness. Much love, Pam Mingle

Sorry for your loss

We are so sorry for the loss of your dear dear Corey. We have fond memories of the times we were together. Going camping in the mountains. the times you spent at our house. Corey was a wonderful person with much to offer the world. I want you to know that you have all been in our thoughts and prayers these past days. Wish we could be there to comfort you. When you are ready to talk please call. We love you very much. Love, The Ehrmans

Of course I remember Corey

Who could forget the mischievous twinkle in his eye, his bright, bright mind, his limit testing? I loved all those qualities about him, especially the limit testing because that trait creates a better future for our nation and the planet. Innovation and the solutions to the massively complex problems of the 21st century do not reside in "yes man" compliance and reliance on the status quo. Corey's accomplishments put him well on his way to making a difference in a big way. -- Dr. Shirley Trees

Sending prayers and smiles your way

Diane and Larry - you have been in my thoughts so much over the past month. I have always remembered being the first babysitter for Corey and Katie and always felt is was such an honor to have you trust me with your precious children. I am so sorry for your loss of Corey and hope that you can find comfort in your many memories of him. It was wonderful to hear all of the stories about Corey and the man that he had become. You have a wonderful family, I am sending many prayers and smiles your way. Cassie Hossfeld (aka Sandy Gerfen :) ).

Remembering

Sincerely, Dr. Susan Scheibel

Our hearts ache for your family

It's been so many years since we've seen Corey, but after hearing you talk about him, viewing his video and seeing all the notes from family and friends it's obvious he was a very special person. He was blessed to have such a loving family. You're in our thoughts and hearts. Mark, Liz, Ryan & Alex Stone

You Are All In Our Prayers

Diane, Larry, and Katie: All of you - and Corey - will be in our thoughts and prayers. God bless. The McGaughans

Condolences

We spent many years with Corey in the Boy Scout program. We walked the Scouting Trail from the time he was in first grade through his senior year of high school. From the Cub Scout years filled with pinewood derby cars, rain gutter regada races and the crazy old wishy-washy washer woman to the Scouting years where he grew up so quickly to become a seasoned outdoorsman, responsible leader and a math whiz who left to attend college at RPI, it was an honor and a privilege to hike the Scouting Trail with Corey. Our lives are certainly richer for having done so. Our thoughts and prayers are with the McClymonds family at this most difficult time. Mike and Dawn Keables

We will be sure to celebrate his life tomorrow and remember him as an extremely gifted, intelligent, and fun-loving guy. AHS Class of 2007 has lost another amazing Warrior, but he will never be forgotten.

We have lost a special friend

Corey was exceptionally bright and had already accomplished much in his far too short life. But what we'll remember most is the phenomenal friend our son had to share these last 10 years with. Corey was the most loyal, inspiring, challenging, and enduringly true friend anyone could have. We will miss you and remember you always! The Dickinsons
